Rhys Gerwin
Rhys Gerwin is a multi-instrumentalist based out of Coeur d' Alene, ID. While his main instrument is now guitar, he has always tinkered with instruments throughout his childhood and began taking it more seriously when he was 12 by teaching himself the bass. His sister was his first teacher but he quickly developed his personal interest in music theory and reading as a teen.
The internet played a strong role in his autodidactic approach to music and allowed him to study independently until attending Whitworth University in Spokane, WA at age 18 in 2010. He graduated with his Bachelor's of Music in 2015 from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA after 3 semesters at Whitworth and a brief hiatus to switch schools.
After graduating, Rhys moved back to Coeur d' Alene, ID to work as an independent music instructor and performer. He is now a live-looping, mobile, musical nomad who offers musical services such as instruction for all ages in many styles for guitar, bass, and piano, live performance, music production, arranging and composition. All of his services are online unless otherwise arranged.

His expertise lies primarily in Jazz, improvisation and other popular styles of music such as Rock, Indie, Easy Listening, Pop, R&B, Soul, and Blues.
